I recently got back to Pennsylvania (and a computer).
My old audi made the trip from Portland Or (actually
100 miles out of) to Berkley California (San Fran) to
New Mexico (actually, portales, NM near
Texas) to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to State
I would like to report that using the closed loop with
MS I achieved 22-23 MPG at 70-85 MPH versus the
sticker quote of my car new of 21 highway (and it's an
old car with no major rebuild.... maybe that helps?

Megasquirt (1500 miles so far 2002/08/27), cold starting and warmup
enrichment make it a pleasure to jump in and go.

Description: Replaced the original bosch CIS system with a scratch built MS. MS'ed since May -02. Modified this summer with a ported head, and a wild cam. Switched to Alpha-N mode, didn't have enough vacuum on idle to run MAP with the new cam.

Description: All factory EFI has been replaced as well as the factory
ignition system and IGN components, everything has been replaced by a
Mega Squirt for fuel and a Perfect Power MIC3 for direct ignition (COP).
It uses a three magnet hall effect pickup system run directly from the
crank. The car has been a daily driver for quite a while now, it has
proven to be quite enjoyable to drive.

Description: Ditching the CIS was the best modification I've
made to the car. The MS works beautifully, and is simple to tune.
Some 12 second time slips are on the way very soon, and I can't
wait until MegaJolt comes out!

Low impedence injectors 1.4 ohm each.
Using current limiting resisters (5.7 ohms)(PWM threshold set to 25.4).
Carter "universal" external fuel pump.
All GM sensors except oxygen sensor.
HEI ignition from GM inline six.
Runs excellant and started easily using the base VE table. Easy to
tune. Excellant throttle response at all rpms. I would highly
recommend the megasquirt system to get the most response and power
out of this engine.

awesome with only minor tuning to date.

that was all I could use) .
